A Christmas theme from the December 1955 Scholastic by artist Dick Navin.

From the files of The Scholastic:

April 19, 1890 -- It is rather an antiquated and thread-bare subject, we must confess, but really we ought to have a college cheer. Now that our 'Varsity team promises to astonish the natives this season, and as we will, no doubt, entertain numerous visiting clubs, it would be well if some charitable individual would invent a creditable yell.

Breathes there a man with soul so dead

Who never to himself has said,

"I wish that ND were co-ed !"

If you know one, show him to me

I won't believe it till I see.

And even then, I'll have a doubt

If the poor fish knows

What it's all about !
