Vintage postcard sent from Lincoln, Nebraska on the night before the 1916 game. Huskers rooter wrote on the card: "Just got here. There is a big crowd in town for the game. Hopes are on Nebraska, betting is on Notre Dame. Maybe ye old Cornhuskers will fool 'em. Hope so. Swell day." The Husker hope were dashed however as the Irish prevailed, 20-0.
